Urban Village

East Village Restaurants

The RopeWalks is fast becoming the focal point for Liverpool's artistic community, with several architects' practices, designers and niche retailers owning and renting properties there. Liverpool is highly regarded as a centre for original and high quality food outlets: Iliad have contributed to this by investing their own money in two highly successful restaurants within the East Village area, which were set up specifically to pump–prime this development. Thus, they have a stake in the success of the Village.

Iliad created 45 permanent jobs by investing over £1.5 million to establish Sapporo Teppanyaki – a Japanese restaurant that has recently been voted one of the top 5 Japanese restaurants in the UK by Sky One. A further branch opened in Manchester in late 2005. Iliad have also set up one of Liverpool's leading Italian eateries – Il Forno – within East Village, known for its authentic Italian pizzas, home–made ice cream and pastries, and its show stopping pizza oven creating a focal point for diners.
